Description: 
The Casas Grandes culture produced at least half a dozen decorative ceramic styles. This Villa Ahumada Effigy vessel, created in the Rio Carmen area of northeastern Chihuahua, incorporates the typical red and black geometric designs of that style. The olla shaped vessel features a zoomorphic cup attached to the rim for drinking or pouring.
Materials: 
Ceramic: orange clay with linear polychrome bands. Includes red-brown, black, and tan slip. Appliqued zoomorphic head: coyote/dog/bear?
